(VOVworld) – The Lunar New Year ( Tet ) is joyfully celebrated nationwide. The atmosphere on the last day of the year is so special, marking the transition from the old year to the new year.

Ms. Pham Thi Lan, a local in Ho Chi Minh city expresses her wish in the New Year: “On the New Year’s Eve, the elderly in my family will offer incense to pray for a new year of good luck, health, and peace. After that, we listened to the President’s New Year wish on TV and welcome the first day of the year”.
Meanwhile, spring flower street in Can Tho City attracted thousands of visitors. The event will last until the 6th day of the Lunar New Year and expect to welcome around 100,000 visitors.
Le Do Khuong from Tra Vinh province said he and his friends have finished their spring journey and returned to welcome the Lunar New Year with their families on the last day of the year. Their first destination of the trip was Can Tho City: “This was the first time I visited Can Tho. The city is so crowded and overwhelmed in the New Year atmosphere”.
Art performances to welcome the Lunar New Year were held on Bach Long Vi island district, Hai Phong city. Tet gifts and essential foods were also sent to the island from the mainland for the islanders to have a happy Tet.
