The resolutions focus on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; international integration in the new context; legal reform; and private sector development.

The quartet forms a theoretical framework for profound reform across sectors. This is a chance to redefine growth drivers and models, thereby boosting internal capacity and building a self-reliant Vietnamese economy with domestic businesses as the backbone, Deputy Pham Trong Nghia said at Tuesday’s NA session.

“Their involvement in public projects enables them to benefit from state support and enhance their capabilities. The Government should prioritize domestic enterprises in large-scale public investment projects, especially in transport, technology, and energy infrastructure,” he noted.

Lawmakers also urged the Government to formulate a national strategy for developing domestic supply chains in order to encourage Vietnamese enterprises to take part in key stages of production and reduce dependence on foreign sources.
