Addressing a Committee meeting on the State Audit Office of Vietnam’s plan for next year, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said auditing activities must be more transparent to strengthen financial regulation enforcement. Auditing results should be made public for people’s supervision, he said.

“The fight against COVID-19 will continue for a long time so it should be cost-effective. We must focus resources on this battle but must use them correctly and effectively,” Mr. Hue noted.
He said that next year’s auditing plan should give top priority to consolidating the macroeconomy, ensuring financial and budgetary regulations and  public debt sustainability, and settling bad debts among credit institutions.
