In an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Mr. Kitagawa noted that Vietnam has a trade agreement with the US and has joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) as well as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

Vietnam’s growth is partially due to attracting foreign enterprises and expanding exports. Kitagawa said Japan also highly appreciates Vietnam’s market scale and growth potential, together with socio-political stability, he added.
