Chaired by senior EU foreign affairs official Helga Schmid, the meeting was held after Iran announced it will continue to suspend its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Details of the meeting were not disclosed.

Ambassador Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the international organizations in Vienna, said the meeting’s main topic was how to preserve the nuclear deal and ensure its full implementation.
