Abe told Chinese Ambassador to Japan Kong Xuanyou that he hopes the two countries can enter a new era of Japan–China relations.

President Xi plans to visit Japan to attend this year’s G20 summit from June 28 to 29, in what will be his first trip to Japan since coming to power in 2013.
