The 117,000 USD in aid will be used on the project to upgrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai school. Hideo Suzuki, Charge d’affaires at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam spoke at the event: "Education and training in human resource are top priority in this Official Development Assistance. We need to complete the educational system, so Vietnam’s future generations can keep developing the country’s economy. It is also necessary to assure a balanced development between urban and rural areas. We will continue to provide non-refundable aid to mountainous and rural areas and hope that the imbalance in development between areas will improve".

The Chairman of Bac Tra My district’s People’s Committee Dang Phong said that the aid will help the district to gradually improve its infrastructure, especially schools in the area.
