Party, State leaders offer incense in remembrance of heroic martyrs

(VOVWORLD) -On Tuesday in Dien Bien Phu city, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a delegation of Party and State leaders and former leaders offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, for the cause of national liberation, independence and freedom for the Fatherland.

Prime Minister Chinh and other leaders observed a minute of silence to express their boundless gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap, officers, soldiers, young volunteers, and civilians on the front lines and throughout the country who heroically fought and sacrificed their lives to achieve the Dien Bien Phu victory.

The Prime Minister and the delegation vowed to follow the example of great President Ho Chi Minh, promote the heroic tradition of Dien Bien Phu, continue efforts with the entire Party, army and people to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, and steer the country to strong, prosperous development and people’s happiness.
