Three ships included in an aid package worth 4 million USD are scheduled to be delivered to Vietnam this year by the Japan International Cooperation System (JICS). The first ship, the HAYATO, is 56.13 metres in length and 9 metres wide with a gross tonnage of 1,079 tons.
Once it is fitted out with tools and devices for operations of the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force, the ship will be used to patrol, and ensure fishery-related laws enforcement at sea.
