Nearly 1.3 billion VND donated to support the Marine Police and Fisheries Surveillance forces.

(VOVworld) - President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan has donated 694 million dong to the Fisheries Surveillance Department and another 600 million dong to the Marine Police Force.

He said the donation represents the Fatherland Front and people’s hearts and minds towards sea and island sovereignty protection. He said the Fatherland Front will continue its mobilization of public resources to join hands with the forces and fishermen in their offshore fishing as well as national defence. The fisheries surveillance and coast guard forces pledged their best efforts to complete missions. The funding will be used to buy telecom equipment and water supply systems to serve long-term mission at sea.
