(VOVworld) - MovieMov, the first Italian film festival organized in Vietnam, opened in Hanoi on Tuesday with the movie ‘Fasten Your Seatbelts’ by director Ferzan Ozpetek.

Eleven award-winning movies will be screened during the festival which will run through this Sunday.

At the opening ceremony, Italian Ambassador Cecilia Piccioni expressed her hope that this event will show slices of Italian life, culture and traditional values to Vietnamese audiences.

At each free screening, viewers will have an opportunity to meet and talk with the Italian filmmakers.
