A number of rockets from Israeli planes targeted two of Hamas military bases, causing significant damage. No casualties have been reported.
The attacks are said to be a response to 2 rocket strikes aimed at southern Israel, which were blamed on Hamas. At least 20 rockets have been fired from Gaza into Israel since US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. It was the largest number of rockets targeting Israel since their last attack on Hamas in 2014.
