(VOVworld) - The Israel security cabinet has approved funding for a fence along its border with Jordan.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the fence in detail on June 29, saying it will be more than 30 kilometers long. Construction will begin at the southern tip of Israel, near Eilat, and end near the site of a new airport farther north in Timna. Netanyahu said the fence will be built entirely on Israeli land and will not interfere with Jordan’s territory.
