Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said he wants no hard border between Ireland and North Ireland after Brexit. The Irish government asked for the UK’s commitment to unchanged Ireland-North Ireland economic relations. British Prime Minister Theresa May said the UK can promise nothing as the future UK-EU relationship is still unknown.
Varadkar called on other EU members to support Ireland. France and Germany have vowed to back Ireland’s reasonable demands.
