Semiconductor, AI production in new development policy proposals for Da Nang

(VOVWORLD) - Semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) development is one of five new policy proposals in the National Assembly’s draft resolution on the organization of urban government and piloting of certain mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City.

The proposals, presented at the ongoing National Assembly session on Friday, garnered significant attention, given that semiconductor and AI are key technology drivers for future global economic growth.

The draft resolution outlines several groups of policies on upgrading the information infrastructure; procurement of equipment to support semiconductor and AI development; and human resources training. 

“The city will support training costs for those studying semiconductors and AI. There are also incentives on income and accommodation costs for semiconductor and AI experts and scientists,” said Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.
