(VOVworld) – Iraqi government forces have seized back control of the southern part of the Islamic State-held city of Fallujah.

The offensive to retake Fallujah began on May 23^rd with the assistance of the US-led coalition. They managed to recapture Al Shuhada Al Thaniya in southern Fallujah on Wednesday.
