(VOVworld) – The Iraqi army has retaken the city of Fallujah from IS forces after a month-long military operation.

Lieutenant General Abdul Wahab Al Saadi told the media on Sunday that  Iraqi troops had entered the northwestern part of the city, the last area of Fallujah to remain under IS control. Following the operation, the Iraqi army will soon attack Mosul, IS’s largest fortress in Iraq.
