(VOVworld) – At least 57 people were killed and thousands of people were injured in suicide bombings on Monday when Iraqi security forces began to poll in the general election on April 30. The bloodiest case was a suicide bombing in Khanaqin town, 140 kilometres northeast of Baghdad, causing at least 30 deaths and 50 injuries. No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, although Islam Sunni rebellions are believed to be waging activities to disrupt the elections.
