(VOVworld) – Consecutive assaults in Iraq on Sunday killed at least 9 people and injured more than 30 others, said the Iraqi authority. Although universities are rarely targets of bomb attacks and gunfires, a bomb exploded at the Imam Kadhim University, Baghdad, killing at least 3, and injuring 9 others. Since the beginning of this year, assaults in Iraq have caused 2,700 deaths, recalling factional and ethnic conflicts in 2006 and 2007, and raising public concern over the upcoming general election, scheduled for April 30.
