Iran wants no war: Foreign Minister

(VOVWORLD) - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Saturday he did not believe a war would break out in the Gulf as Tehran did not want a conflict.

There will be no war because neither Iran wants a war nor anyone has the idea or illusion that it can confront Iran in the region, Zarif told news agency IRNA before ending his visit to Beijing.

The United States is planning to deploy military forces in the waters of the Arabian Gulf and in a number of Gulf Cooperation Council countries, an Arabic international newspaper reported.
