Mr. Amir Hatami said Iran currently boasts full defensive capability, adding that the fight against terrorists and the downing of an "intruding" US drone are proof of Iran's robust defense. Hatami also downplayed the impacts of US pressure on Iran.
In another development, in an interview broadcast on Sunday, Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed bin Salman warned that oil prices could spike to "unimaginably high numbers" if the world does not come together to deter Iran, but said he would prefer a political solution to a military one.
The United States, European powers and Saudi Arabia have blamed the recent attacks on Iran. Tehran has denied any involvement.
