Iran is ready to swap prisoners and wants the US to release jailed Iranian citizens without any conditions, said foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani.

On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged Iran to release Iranian-American nationals imprisoned in Iran.

The move follows Iran and US efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear pact. The eighth round of negotiations to restore the agreement resumed in Vienna last Thursday for the first time since March. Iran said Tuesday it has given its response to a "final" draft agreement on reviving the accord.
