Iran on Monday announced it has started mass producing an advanced air defense system capable of automatically identifying and engaging low-altitude targets. Iran’s Defense Minister, Admad Vahidi said this new air defense system, called “Herz-9” or “Talisman-9”, is highly mobile and capable of night operations. In early May, Iran unveiled its latest indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a reconnaissance and combat drone dubbed Hamaseh, which is the longest and highest-range aircraft developed by Iran.
