Delegates discussed evidence-based reporting and monitoring mechanisms and measures, multi-sectoral coordination, and capacity building for enforcement agencies.

The conference, held ahead of the signing of the Hanoi Convention against Cybercrimes, was an opportunity to share international best practices and identify ways for Vietnam to foster innovation in online safety and build integrated, cross-sectoral responses to protect women, adolescents, and children from online abuse and exploitation.

The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Public Security, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), UNICEF, UN Women, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
