(VOVworld) – The UN Security Council on Sunday condemned a bloody terrorist attack at the Kunming Railway Station in southwest China’s Yunnan Province Saturday.

The Council strongly denounced the attack on civilians and expressed its condolences to the Chinese government and the victims’ families.
The same day, the German Foreign Ministry and Catherine Ashton, EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, issued a statement to condemning the attack in Kunming and sent condolences to victims’ families.
29 people were confirmed dead and more than 130 others were injured after a group of knife-wielding militants attacked the Kunming railway station. China said the deadly attack was carried out by Xinjiang separatists.
