Egypt’s foreign ministry, in a statement on Wednesday, “condemned in the strongest terms the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory,” saying the offensive “represents a blatant and unacceptable attack on the sovereignty of a brotherly Arab state.” 

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Iraqi President Bahram Salei discussed developments of the Turkish Offensive in Syria on Wednesday. They said the ongoing escalation threatens international peace and security and worsens the complicated situation in the region.

The Foreign Ministries of Kuwait and Libya have also criticized Turkey’s offensive, calling it a territorial invasion which may force people to flee from their homes. They called on Turkey to reconsider its action and cooperate with countries to stabilize the situation in Syria and abide by international resolutions.

Syria’s SANA reported that at least 8 people have died and 20 others were injured in a Turkish mortar attack on Hasakah, northeast of Syria, on Tuesday.
