International aviation disrupted by Pakistan-India conflict

(VOVWORLD) -Several Asian airlines have canceled or rerouted flights to Europe and South Asia in the wake of military conflicts between India and Pakistan on Wednesday.

Thai Airways rerouted its flights to Europe and South Asia early on Wednesday and warned of potential delays.

Korean Air adjusted its Seoul Incheon–Dubai (UAE) route, redirecting southward over Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India instead of its previous route through Pakistani airspace.

Taiwan (China)’s EVA Air also adjusted its flights to and from Europe.

In a related development, the White House said Secretary of State Marco Rubio had phone talks with his Indian and Pakistani counterparts, urging them to engage in dialogue to de-escalate military confrontation.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement calling on India and Pakistan to exercise restraint and prioritize peace and stability.
