(VOVworld) - Visitors can view a beautiful plateau from the air during the 2016 International Air Balloon Festival, which opened Thursday in Moc Chau District, Son La Province.

The four-day festival introduces and promotes a new and modern tourism activity in the district (VOV)

This is the biggest air balloon festival to be held in Vietnam’s northwest frontier provinces. Long Trung Tam, Vice Chairman of the Moc Chau District People's Committee, said at the opening ceremony: "For a long time, we have been looking forward to organizing the International Air Balloon Festival. This adventure tourism activity is taking place in Moc Chau for the first time. We hope such an event will continue to be held in the years to come."
