According to the article, there are four reasons for Vietnam’s success. First, the Vietnamese government quickly imposed control after discovering the first COVID-19 infection. Vietnam was the first country, after China, to carry out mass quarantines. Second, there was hardly a country that pursued contact tracing more vehemently than Vietnam. Third, Vietnam provided clear and transparent information. Fourth, the spirit of solidarity was one of reasons behind Vietnam’s success in pandemic control.

Switzerland praised Vietnam’s achievements in the COVID-19 fight, Anjuska Weil, President of the Switzerland-Vietnam Friendship Association ASV, said Tuesday in Zurich where the Vietnamese government donated face masks to the ASV and Vietnamese people living in Switzerland. Ms. Weil thanked the Vietnamese government for the donation, calling it proof of the good relationship between the two countries. She said she was impressed by Vietnam’s efforts to protect the health of Vietnamese people and foreigners in Vietnam. Efforts in treating Patient 91, an English pilot, showed that Vietnam is a safe, friendly, and humane country. She said she hopes the epidemic will soon be over so she can visit Vietnam again.
