Speaking at the China Development Forum in Beijing, Georgieva said the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the current tightening of monetary policy are holding back the global economy.
The IMF chief predicts that even if the outlook for 2024 improves, economic growth will still be lower than 3.8%. The IMF is closely monitoring developments and assessing their impact on the global economic outlook and financial stability, she said.
