In an interview to German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on Friday on the sidelines of a summit of finance ministers and central bank governors of G7 nations in Dresden, Lagarde said that it would be “no stroll” but would “probably not” mean the end of the euro. She emphasized that if Greece does not agree to reform, IMF will not grant any additional relief for Athens. According to Lagarde, the IMF has rules and principles and Greece is not an exception that the IMF forces to break their principles. She added that Greece’s stay or leave depends on will and determination of the EU.
