Hungarian President Áder János meets Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang during his trip to Vietnam.

János met with President Truong Tan Sang, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. At these meetings the leaders said they always treasure the friendship and multi-faceted co-operation between the two countries. They agreed on coordination in organizing activities, such as photo exhibitions, film weeks, and arts troupe exchanges, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties and promote mutual understanding. The leaders discussed international issues of mutual concern, including the East Sea, noting that all disputes need to be settled peacefully in line with international law, including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), toward building a Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC).
