The Vietnam Red Cross told a press conference on Wednesday in Hanoi that highlight of the month will the the “Humanitarian journey: sharing and receiving love” to be held in Thai Nguyen, Son La, and Dien Bien province on April 20-22.

After the launch ceremony in Dien Bien province, incense will be offered to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at revolutionary historical sites. Other activities include voluntary blood donation, providing free medical consultation, examination, and drug for more than 7,000 people in difficult circumstances, helping 70 poor households in Dien Bien province to have stable livelihood, and giving shopping vouchers to 700 poor people.

Bui Thi Hoa, President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, said that the Society strives to raise 16 million USD to carry out major activities during the Humanitarian Month. On February 25, it will launch a campaign on the V-Race app to rally about 70,000 people to jog and run to raise about 290,000 USD.
