On Saturday, an art troupe from Belgium’s Wallonie – Bruxelles region entertained the public with their spectacular visual performances called “The volcano mouth 6899”. During their 30 minute-show of light and music, the audience were invited to an exploration of the sky and earth’s mysteries. At Tu Thuong Park, festival goers were treated to traditional Korean arts performed by the dance group Yun Myung Hwa and music band Lee Sang.
Also on Saturday, rural market sessions were held by the Thanh Toan tile roofed bridge, featuring diverse folk games, art performances and local cuisine.
"This is the first time I experience Hue festival outside the citadel. I took my family here to explore our nation’s many traditions and customs, from agricultural practices to rural festivals, and also to see how rural Vietnam has changed with modernization process.", said Le Thanh Khoi, a visitor from Hanoi.
The highlight of the Hue Festival was an art program entitled ‘Van hien kinh ky’ (Culture of the capital city), held on Saturday by the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre to honour the five world cultural heritages in the locality.
