It was said in a letter to Chief Secretary of Hong Kong Administration Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor from Secretary General of Hong Kong Federation of Students Chow Yong-kang. Chow said in a report on Hong Kong people’s views on political reforms submitted to China, Hong Kong authorities should include a demand for the reversal of an August 31 decision by China’s legislature and set up a multilateral discussion channel through fair election measures. Hong Kong students leaders also asked for talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and central officials in charge of Hong Kong-Macau.

In another development, the Communist Party of China said it would deter external forces from interfering in Hong Kong and Macau situation and confirmed its support to Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administration Region Leung Chun-ying.
