Hong Kong administration vows full cooperation on national security legislation

(VOVWORLD) - Chief Executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam said Wednesday that the Hong Kong government will fully cooperate on national security legislation and urged the people of Hong Kong to express their opinions about the legislation.

Lam told a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday that the Hong Kong government will cooperate in drafting the law, upgrade its law enforcement capability, and launch a program of national security education. She said that during the legislative process, central authorities will listen to opinions from Hong Kong.
