(VOVworld) – Hoi An town has been chosen as the world’s favorite destination by readers of Wanderlust, a British tourism magazine. Wanderlust said 3,000 of its readers, who are among the most active tourists in Britain, voted on this year’s awards based on their personal travel experience. The magazine selected winners in several categories including favorite city where Hoi An topped a 976-city list with a 97% satisfaction level.

At Thursday’s award ceremony in London, Lyn Hughes, Wanderlust co-founder and editor-in-chief, presented a golden award certificate to Vietnamese Counselor to the UK Le Thi Thu Hang. Hoi An is followed by Peru’s Cusco with 96% and Japan’s Kyoto with 95%.
