(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's Central Committee received 180 maps and documents concerning the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos from the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan presented maps and documents on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos to the President of Vietnam Youth Federation Nguyen Phi Long.

The Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Truong Minh Tuan, said they were parts of documents collected in Vietnam and other countries which have legal and historic value and help to prove Vietnam’s sovereign claims over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos through different historic periods. The President of Vietnam Youth Federation, Nguyen Phi Long, called on young people to come up with practical activities to protect Vietnam’s sovereignty and legal interests in the East Sea.
