(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh city and the country of Wales have great potential for cooperation. This was agreed by Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong and the UK Secretary of State for Wales, David Jones, at a reception Thursday in Ho Chi Minh city. Fields for potential cooperation include tourism, trade, finance, and banking. A direct HCMC-London route launched by Vietnam Airlines is a bridge to enhance multifaceted cooperation, particularly trade ties, between Ho Chi Minh city and Wales.

Ho Chi Minh city has 95 current projects funded by UK investors, totaling 680 million Euros. There are 22 representative offices of UK businesses operating in the city.
