(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh city’s Department of Industry and Trade predicts goods consumption during the Lunar New Year holiday will be around 14,000 tons.


Speaking at a discussion with Ho Chi Minh city’s People’s Council and Ho Chi Minh city TV station on preparation for Tet, the Department of Industry and Trade said it will organize 200 convoys selling Tet goods on the outskirts of the city.
Supermarkets will open earlier and close later than in normal days. Le Ngoc Dao, deputy Director of the Industry and Trade Department, said: “Shops under the price stabilization program will open on the 2^nd day of the New Lunar Year. If any place shortages of any kind of product, we’ll resolve immediately. People can inform us about price increasing by calling our hotline number published on our website.”   Representatives from the Finance Department and Market Management Department said they will enhance quality and price monitoring during Tet.
