(VOVworld)- The Overseas Service of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV5) on Friday visited and presented gifts to ethnic minority people in Xin Cai commune, Meo Vac district of Ha Giang province. This is part of VOV5’s charity program to help people in the mountain region which was launched a few years ago. Nearly 400 poor pupils and more than 100 poor households in 6 communes have received Tet gifts worth a total of more than 100 million VND. Ms Doan Thi Trung is VOV5’s Director: “The lives of local people in the mountain region are very difficult. The roads are very poor. We really hope that our gifts will bring local people a warmer Tet. We will continue our program to help mountainous people”.
