(VOVworld) – About 800 people with disability and orphans from local humanitarian centers attended the 15th Spring Festival organized by the Ho Chi Minh city’s Association for the Protection of People with Disability and Orphans on Sunday.

The festival to welcome the Lunar New Year 2016 received donations totaling 1 billion VND from organizations and kindhearted people. 2,000 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, were given to people with disability and orphans in HCM City.
Hoang Thi Khanh, Chairwoman of the Association, says: “All unfortunate people will have Tet gift. We’ve collected information and ensure that everyone will have a gift.”
HCM City has about 50,000 people with disability and orphans.
