(VOVworld) - Ho Chi Minh City and Japan’s Osaka city have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation for low-carbon city development until 2020. Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong and Osaka’s Mayor Hirofumi Yoshimura on Tuesday signed the MoU, which was an extension of another MoU signed in 2013.

Osaka will help Ho Chi Minh city in personnel training to effectively manage climate change projects and design programs for greenhouse gas emission reduction. The two cities will also work together in information technology, supportive industries, processing, and bio-technology.
