Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam at Gia Dinh People's Hospital

Mr. Dam, who is also Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, stressed the need to mobilize more hospitals in the city to be involved in the treatment of COVID-19 patients and ensure enough medical equipment, consumables and protective gear for hospital treatment.

Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister visited and encouraged the medical team at Gia Dinh People's Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Acknowledging the efforts of the medical staff in the deployment of medical resources, Deputy Prime Minister Dam said the hospital needs to coordinate with lower-level hospitals and treatment facilities in order to promptly care for and treat severe COVID-19 patients.

Also on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam visited the vaccination site for the elderly of Binh Thanh Hospital.
