(VOVworld) – Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai said Wednesday that Ho Chi Minh City always attaches great importance to its relationship with Lao localities.
At a meeting with Lao Party General Secretary and President Chummaly Sayasone during Hai’s visit, he reiterated Ho Chi Minh City’s keenness to promote its ties with Vientiane and Champasak province.

Hai urged the Lao government and Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong to facilitate Vietnamese businesses operating in Laos.
On Wedneday Hai was received by Lao President Bounnhang Volachit. He expressed his delight at flourishing friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Earlier, Hai and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to Deputy National Assembly Chairman Saysomphon Phomvihane, President of the Lao Front for National Construction Central Committee Phanduongchit Vongsa, former Prime Minister Sisavat Keobounphan, and former National Assembly Chairman Saman Vinhaket.
