(VOVworld) – Pagodas in HCM city are packed with visitors during the first days of Tet who come to pray for a new year of peace and happiness.

Nguyen Thi Nam and her children visited Vinh Nghiem pagoda in District 3. She said: “We usually visit pagodas on the first day of the new year to pray to Buddha for good business and that our children will be obedient.”

Not only the elderly but many young people also visit pagodas. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga from Binh Chanh District said: “Lots of people visit pagodas during the first day of the new year. I hope the new year will bless me with luck, health, happiness, and good business and Vietnam will be more developed.”
