Quan said Germany is currently Ho Chi Minh City’s largest trade partner in Europe and that Germany has established fruitful cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City in health care and education. Gabriel said German firms are very keen to invest in the Vietnamese market, including Ho Chi Minh City, noting that after the Ben Thanh - Tham Luong metro line 2 construction project, German companies will shift their investment to other local infrastructure projects.
