At a meeting with Iris Gleicke, Parliamentary State Secretary at Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on Thursday, Le Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, said he expects German enterprises to promote trade and investment with Vietnam and pledged to create a favorable business climate for them.

Ms. Gleicke said Germany is always keen to expand its economic cooperation with Vietnam. She said German enterprises with experience in addressing problems in developing infrastructure, transportation, and energy could support Ho Chi Minh City via joint research, training projects, and technology transfers.
