The Department said that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of tourists to Hanoi still increased month by month. In May during the 31st Southeast Asian Games, the city welcomed a large number of visitors from Southeast Asian countries.
Hanoi authority will continue to direct travel agencies and destinations to develop unique and attractive tourism products. In particular, the tourism industry will develop agro-tourism, focusing on building and piloting a number of models of agricultural and rural tourism.
Hanoi tourism will continue to be promoted via mass media like VTV, Hanoi TV, CNN, and Hanoi tourism FM, and social networking platforms like YouTube and Facebook.
