(VOVworld) – Hanoi voters hailed the government report on socio-economic performance in 2015, over the past 5 years, as well as the development plan for 2016 and in the next 5 years, presented by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at the opening session of the 10th session of the 13th National Assembly on Tuesday. Nguyen Duc Luong lives in Yen Bai City: "The government report has fully depicted Vietnam’s socio-economic performance. We are very glad for Vietnam’s achievements and strongly believe that Vietnam will further grow under the management of the government."

Deputy Chairman of Vietnam-Germany Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Association Nguyen The Diep said the report analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of Vietnam’s economy over the past 5 years. "I think the government’s target of 6.7% growth in 2016 is within reach as Vietnam’s macro economy has seen stable development with strong growth recorded in a number of industries. The real estate sector is reviving and the banking system has been consolidated. The government’s macro policies have been effectively applied."

Voter Nguyen Minh Phong, who is an economist, said: "More should be done to boost state-owned enterprise restructuring. It’s also of great importance to have more resolute solutions for public debt control to keep it under the safe limit while addressing bad debts to avoid debt relapse."
